During World War II, Taiwanese puppetry was banned by the Japanese colonial authority. The performers had to struggle for survival of the art.
After the War, the sound and visual effects has revolutionized, but persecuted by the government.
A forgotten puppet triggered a lost memory. The life on puppet stage and the relationship between masters and apprentices, told a legend of the old puppeteers.
